ASSOCIATION

Medical Tourism Agencies Association is a non-profit professional association of medical tourism market players which provide assistance to patients.

Date of establishment: June 2016.

Geography of the Association:

The Association includes more than 80 medical tourism agencies from Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and other CIS countries. The list of countries is constantly expanding.

Association goals:

Association became the first of its kind as an organization based on ideas such as improving agents' and agencies' efficiency, developing tools to improve sales, and providing information support to members of the Association, enhancing their knowledge of medical technologies and market trends.

The organizing committee of the Association is comprised of medical tourism market experts. The Association is supported by government institutions and medical tourism development funds from a number of countries.

Association activities:

1. Global Market Research

Experts of the Association keep searching the profitable partner contacts. On behalf of the community of medical tourism agencies, the Association employees are looking for new attractive destinations for medical tourism and medical service providers who can give a high-tech medical assistance to Russian-speaking patients. Members of the Association are interested in establishing new business contacts and actively support the visits of representatives of foreign healthcare providers and professional associations of medical tourism to the events of the Association.

2. Education

The Association team conducts educational webinars for market participants on the work standards of managers for treatment abroad, on tools to improve the efficiency of agencies and the peculiarities of medical tourism in different countries.

3. Participation in global industry events

We participate in most major world exhibitions, as well as in exhibitions in Russia, Kazakhstan, and other CIS countries. As part of a large community of professionals in the CIS medical insurance market, the employees of the Association are invited as host-buyers at major congresses and exhibitions around the world. We also participate as speakers, promoting the development of communications between agencies and clinics.

4. Organization of industry events

The Association regularly conducts professional industry events such as workshops and medical tourism conferences.
