The Medical Tourism Agencies Association took part in the OTDYKH Medical Tourism, Spa & Health Exhibition 2017, which took place from September 19 to 21 at the Expocenter of Moscow and was devoted to various directions of tourism. In addition to encouraging master classes from representatives of gastronomic tourism, there were also interesting directions of health and medical tourism, which were represented mainly by sanatoriums of Russia and abroad and SPA & wellness centers.

The conference dedicated to the issues of health and medical tourism was held on September 19 at the open conference venue of the second pavilion, where the expert of the Association Evgeniy Chernyshev delivered a presentation on the trends of the medical tourism market that will be relevant in 2018. The exhibition was the most useful, in our opinion, for travel agencies involved, including health tourism.

The representatives of the Association held promising meetings with the tourism and medical tourism departments of the emirate of Dubai, Thailand, and Cyprus in the direction of medical tourism. An agreement was reached to conduct educational webinars on medical tourism in the next few months on these issues and subsequently information tours for the members of the Association.
