On 27–30, the VI International Forum of Technological Development Technoprom-2018 was held at the Novosibirsk Expocentre.

„In modern conditions of technological growth, global competition for scientific and industrial superiority, such events as Technoprom are undoubtedly in demand and highly important“, the Head of State spoke about the significance of the forum for the development of the country.

The declared theme of the forum in 2018 was „Science as an Industry“. The event was devoted to projects aimed at technological transfer from science to industry. The business program included discussions, plenary meetings, and roundtables — some of which representatives of state structures used as an occasion to promote their activities, while others discussed current issues with the panel of experts.

Within the framework of the forum, a roundtable „The Future of Medical Tourism in Siberia“ was held, in which representatives of the Government of the Novosibirsk Region, health institutions and sanatoriums of the region participated. Participants discussed such topics as the medical services export and the medical services promotion in foreign markets.

As an expert at the roundtable, Alla Rezina, IMTAA Marketing Director spoke. The presentation was devoted to potential foreign patients, their expectations before, during and after treatment in the Russian Federation.

The inclusion of an event specifically dedicated to medical tourism in the business program of a major forum confirms the fact that the interest of the government of the Russian Federation towards inbound medical tourism is only growing and attempts are being made to develop a purposeful development program in this area.
